Olympia Towers Key Bridge Between DTLA Financial District

Chinese developer City Century revealed plans for Olympia, a trio of high-rise residential towers in DTLA near L.A. Live that would serve as a connector between the Financial District and South Park. The $1-billion mixed-use complex is proposed for more than 1,300 apartment or condo units with 40,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space along Olympic Blvd., east of the 110 freeway.

Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Olympia’s slim towers range in height from 43 stories to 53 stories to 65 stories. A podium will connect the lower levels with 115,000 square feet of landscaped open space.

Construction permits are expected within 18 months, and the development would deliver in roughly four years. The LA subsidiary of Shanghai-based Sheng-Long Group is also developing two other residential projects in DTLA.
