Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Arriving at Another Shuttered Toys R Us

Pennsylvania-based Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is taking over yet another closed Toys R Us store, this time setting up shop in Longview, TX. The brick-and-mortar retailers will move into the former toy store at 402 W. Loop 281 in the East Texas city. The 30,832-square-foot store is expected to open in April 2020.

The move is part of Ollie’s planned expansion in Texas. The discount retailer is already open and operational in a former Toys R Us space in Mesquite, TX, a suburb of Dallas, and has been open in Marshall, TX, for about a year, as well as other locations. Meanwhile, the company inked a deal for space in Fort Worth.

Ollie’s Jerry Altland told the Longview News-Journal that the company is also planning to open a warehouse center in Lancaster, TX, which will serve stores in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
