Ohio State Medical Expands MOB Footprint with Atkins

Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has inked an expansion for 12,000 square feet of medical office space at Atkins Companies’ Mill Run Business Center in Hilliard, OH, near Columbus. The lease expansion increases OSU Medical’s footprint to 62,500 square feet, and brings the 100,000-square-foot, two-building medical office complex to full occupancy.

“With the continued consolidation and expansion of healthcare systems and large physician practices across the country, we have seen a corresponding increase in the demand for well-located, off-campus Class-A medical office space,” said Cory Atkins, director of acquisitions at West Orange, NJ-based Atkins.

“Through our strategic investments in these highly sought-after medical office spaces, we consider ourselves a partner in many of the nation’s most reputable healthcare systems’ and physician practices’ ongoing growth,” Atkins added. The company recently refinanced the complex, part of more than 600,000 square feet of medical office space it controls, through Peapack Gladstone Bank.
