NuZee Expands, Leases Plano, TX Facility

Specialty coffee company NuZee Inc., headquartered in Vista, CA, is expanding to support the growth of its single-serve pour-over coffee product. To that end, the producer and co-packer leased a 16,603-square-foot facility in Plano, TX for a new, single-serve, pour-over co-packing hub. While a location was not announced, googling locations brought up the 16,603-square-foot Building 5 at Palisades Industrial Park, at 1700 Capital Ave.

The company will begin paying rent on the facility on July 1, and the space must achieve Level 2 Safe Quality Food Certification from the Safe Quality Food Institute before co-packing can commence. NuZee anticipates that its Plano location will be fully operational, with necessary certifications, by the end of this year.

NuZee’s Travis Gorney indicated that the expansion will allow the company to broaden its geographic presence, and to “allow us to better serve current and future clients in a more efficient and cost-effective manner.”
