Nonprofit City Harvest Lands New Warehouse Space in Brooklyn

City Harvest, DH Property Holdings and JLL closed on the sale and leasing of 150 52nd St. in Brooklyn, a 150,000-square-foot, multilevel warehouse which will house the nonprofit’s Food Rescue Facility and administrative offices. JLL’s Rob Kossar, Paul Mas, Adam Citron and Ellen Herman represented City Harvest. Leslie Lanne from JLL advised DH.

The site search began two years ago, when City Harvest’s current Food Rescue Facility in Long Island City, Queens was rezoned from industrial to residential. City Harvest recognized a strategic opportunity to relocate to a larger, more versatile facility.

“When the organization entrusted us with its property search, we knew that it would be a challenge to find facilities that fulfilled the space, transportation and logistical requirements for City Harvest to expand its operations and continue its important work,” said Kossar. “We were confident that our team would be able to meet the organization’s needs.”
