No Decision on Lewis’ Harmony MPC in Redlands
A decision about Upland, CA-based Lewis Group of Companies’ proposed master-planned residential community, Harmony, was pushed back to next month. Redlands’ Planning Commission is reviewing tentative tract maps and a development agreement.
The project is planned for more than 3,600 homes, as well as parks and recreation areas, natural open space, a fire station with a police substation, an elementary school and community facilities. The 1,658-acre site will reportedly include 658 acres of residential development, ranging from estate lots of high-density units, with a majority of the homes low- to medium-density.
The plan includes 875 acres, or roughly 53%, reserved for parks, recreation and open space. The project is consistent with the city’s General Plan, that aims for distinctive, high-quality master-planned communities featuring substantial scenic open space.
