Fresh Off $100M Fund Raise, Fintech Halo Moves Into Big New Headquarters

Nielsen’s Consumer Business Spinoff to be Headquartered in Chicago

Nielsen Holdings selected Chicago as the headquarters city for its Global Consumer Business unit, ahead of spinning off the unit as a standalone company. The headquarters will be established in Nielsen’s existing space at 200 W. Jackson Blvd. in the Loop, owned by White Oak Realty Partners and Angelo, Gordon.

Already Nielsen’s largest workspace in the U.S. at 215,000 square feet, the 200 W. Jackson space will provide the consumer business the opportunity to collaborate with technology partners, attract top talent and better serve consumer packaged goods and retail clients, many also based in Chicago. The 200 W. Jackson space was expanded in a 2017 consolidation of Nielsen’s Chicago operations.

“Nielsen was founded in Chicago, Arthur Nielsen revolutionized consumer measurement and data here, and becoming a separate company is an opportunity to return our headquarters back to our original home,” said David Rawlinson, CEO of Nielsen’s Global Consumer Business.
