Newmark Expands Commercial Mortgage Banking Team

Newmark hired a five-member team of commercial mortgage banking professionals to join its San Francisco production team. The additions include Andrew Mekjavich, Ryan Gray, Jeff Matlock, Ben Johnson and Murphy Osborne. Collectively, they have structured more than $2 billion in commercial mortgage finance during their careers.

Mekjavich specializes in the structure and arrangement of debt and equity financings for all commercial and multifamily property types nationwide. He joins from Barry Slatt Mortgage, and is the incoming President of the Bay Area Mortgage Association.

Gray brings an extensive background in arranging commercial real estate debt, key lender relationships, and a track record for navigating complex deal structures. He was an Executive Director and Loan Originator with Barry Slatt Mortgage.

Matlock specializes in providing long term debt placement for all property types, and most recently served as a commercial mortgage banker with Barry Slatt Mortgage.

Johnson and Osborne join in support roles.

Dennis Kaiser is Vice President of Public Relations and Communications for Connect Creative. Dennis has also worked on communications and launch strategies for a number of consumer electronic, media and tech brands including SlingMedia, Channel Master, Deluxe Media Entertainment, BeIn Sports, EchoStar and Sprint. Dennis’s agency background included firms such as Off Madison Ave., Idea Hall and Macy + Associates. He has earned an outstanding reputation with organization leaders as a trusted advisor, strategic program implementer, consensus builder and exceptional collaborator. Dennis has developed and managed national communications programs for Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, both public and private. He’s successfully worked with journalists across the globe representing clients involved in major-breaking news stories, product launches, media tours, and company news announcements.
