New Food Hall Planned for Carlsbad Windmill Building
James Markham, creator and founder of the popular Pieology and Project Pie restaurant chains, plans to open The Windmill Food Hall in Carlsbad, CA’s Windmill Building. Markham recently signed a lease to transform 12,000-square feet of currently vacant indoor and outdoor restaurant space into an artisanal food hall concept.
The Windmall Food Hall plans to open in summer 2018, and will be located in the former TGI Fridays space at 890 Palomar Airport Rd.
Colliers International Urban Property team’s Bill Shrader, David Maxwell and Serena Patterson represented both James Markham and the landlord, Carlsbad Properties, Inc.
Shrader says, “Experiential retail and restaurant concepts will continue to thrive, as consumers want choice when dining out. The Windmill Food Hall will deliver an exciting, new concept in one of North County’s iconic buildings.”
