New Bank Campus Could Add 1,200 Jobs
Independent Bank Group, which has more than 80 locations in Texas and Colorado, will build its new head office in the 137-acre McKinney Corporate Center in Craig Ranch. The McKinney, TX location is on SH 121, 20 miles north of downtown Dallas.
The $52-million project is being planned to house upwards of 1,200 workers in offices totaling 400,000 square feet. Officials hope they can launch construction on the first phase, a 150,000-square-foot, six-story office building, by late 2017.
The 2,200-acre, $2-billion, mixed-use Craig Ranch has been under development for 17 years, and is close to completion. Developer David Craig told the Dallas Business Journal that only a few hundred acres of mostly commercial land remain in the project.
