New Apartments in Ocean Hill, Brooklyn
The Henry Apartments unveiled 134 new apartments May 8, 2017, in the Ocean Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, between Bed Stuy, Crown Heights and East New York.
“We’ve combined an under-used City-owned site with private land, to lock-in permanent affordability for more than half of the 134 homes that will serve low-income and formerly homeless New Yorkers,” said Eric Enderlin, president of the City’s Housing Development Corp.
The two, six-story buildings at 1676 Broadway and 8 Rockaway Ave. include 78 apartments for individuals and families that were formerly homeless. Alembic Community Development also created first-floor retail space in both buildings. Residents will also have access to on-site supportive services through Services for the UnderServed.
