Neutron Generator Maker Breaks Ground in WI
Phoenix LLC, known for making compact neutron generators, broke ground on its new neutron imaging center in Fitchburg, WI, near the state capital of Madison. The site, at 5125 Lacy Rd. in Fitchburg’s Uptown neighborhood, will also house Phoenix’s 50,000-square-foot new headquarters.
“This commercial neutron imaging center, the first non-reactor facility of its kind, is another indicator that Wisconsin’s technology sector is at the forefront of several growing industries including medical and industrial imaging,” said Phoenix president Evan Sengbusch.
Given its existing employment base and projected growth, “Phoenix is the first corporate anchor within Uptown in Fitchburg and will be a great addition to the science and tech industry,” said Mayor Jason Gonzales.
The company plans to open the 10,000-square-foot Phoenix neutron imaging center in mid-2019. Currently it’s headquartered in Monona, WI.
