Mutts Canine Cantina Barking at New Braunfels

Mutts Canine Cantina, a concept that combines a dining experience with on-site dog park, is entering the San Antonio area by taking space at the mixed-use Solms Landing, on Creekside Crossing, in New Bruanfels, TX. Once open in 2020, the New Braunfels Mutts will be the third location in Texas; the eateries are in operation in Dallas and Fort Worth.

Each Mutts location offers two enclosed and fenced lawn spaces for dogs and owners. A separate patio offers concession-food options such as chicken sandwiches, burgers and milkshakes, and, of course, a canine menu for four-legged diners. Also available are free Wi-Fi, a dog-washing area, and “Bark Rangers,” who provide water and keep the parks tidy.

James Mahan, one of the Mutts franchisees, indicated the concept is a logical fit with Solms Landing, especially with more than 2,000 apartment units nearby. “Many of those residents are dog-owners looking for dog-friendly entertainment opportunities,” he added.
