More Data Comes to Allen

TierPoint LLC has selected Allen, TX, north of Dallas, for its new data center. The St. Louis company will spend more than $20 million on the first phase of the project, which will be on U.S. 75, near Stacy Road.

TierPoint plans to begin work at once on the 16,000-square-foot first phase, and to have it operational by spring. TierPoint is partnering with Compass Data Centers on the development, which will eventually grow to 90,000 square feet.

TierPoint has 39 data centers in 18 states. Locally the company also operates a data center at 3004 Irving Blvd. in Dallas. “Our data center is filling up here in Dallas,” said Chris Parsons with TierPoint. “We are seeing more demand for service in this market.”
