Montrose Hotel Developers Obtain City’s OK

Goodnight Development, the real estate/development arm of boutique hotel operator Goodnight Hospitality, received a nod from the Houston Planning Commission for a variance that would allow development of Montrose Hotel. The boutique hospitality property, boasting nine rooms, is planned at 2509 Dunlavy. Proposed rates will be between $350-$500 a night.

Other plans for the project, which will go north on 10,000 square feet, include an outdoor patio, rooftop garden, private events space and small bar and restaurant for use by the hotel guests.

The variance filed had concerned city regulations in which hotels with fewer than 75 rooms are developed in residential areas. The regulations didn’t take into account the project being developed by Goodnight Development.
