MOB at Church’s South Side MXU Lands City Financing
A Pullman mixed-use building will be rehabbed and expanded as an Advocate Health Group medical office (rendering pictured) through Tax Increment Financing assistance approved this week by Chicago’s City Council. It will be part of the planned Imani Village mixed-use project on the South Side, that will also include retail, residential and recreational facilities.
The $7.6-million project at 901 E. 95th St. will encompass 60,000 square feet, including a 13,000-square-foot addition. Totaling $981,000, the assistance will be provided to the developer, an offshoot of Trinity United Church of Christ, in two annual installments following completion of the project.
In February, the South Side Weekly reported that the Advocate Health MOB would be the first project to open in the Imani Village MXU. Patricia Eggleston, executive director of the church’s developmental offshoot, told the publication that she hoped housing complexes would come next.
