Midland County: 11 Dollar Generals and Counting

Midland County, home to Midland, TX, has received its 11th Dollar General. The county, which gained its first Dollar General store in 1999, opened its 10th location last month, and plans to open another this summer. The newest store is situated at 10404 FM Road 307.

“We know convenience is a major factor in our customers’ shopping decisions, as we generally serve customers within a three- to five-mile radius, or 10-minute drive,” said Dollar General’s Laura Somerville.

The Lone Star State now contains nearly 1,300 Dollar General stores. The company is seeking to add additional locations, as well.
