Metroloft Launches First Office-to-Office Redevelopment

Metroloft, which has specialized in commercial-to-residential conversions in Lower Manhattan for the past 25 years, has launched its first office-to-office redevelopment with the 700,000-square-foot 175 Water St. A Newmark Knight Frank team of David Falk, Andrew Sachs and Jonathan Franzel will handle leasing for the property.

“Our vision for 175 Water is to bring our unique architectural talents to design and rediscover a thoughtfully curated workplace for the future,” said Nathan Berman, principal of Metroloft. The firm has developed more than five million square feet, with projects including 20 Broad St., 443 Greenwich and 180 Water St.

“With this recent work-from-home environment, we believe that going forward there will be a strong market of people wanting their workspace to better reflect a feeling of home,” said Sachs. “Metroloft’s residential experience gives them valuable insight into crafting amenities and workspaces that incorporate a personal touch.”
