Meritex Launches Industrial Project in KC Metro

Meritex broke ground on two 120,000-square-foot industrial buildings in Lenexa, KS, within the Kansas City metro area. The new buildings represent Meritex’s first surface development in the market; it owns and operates the underground Meritex Lenexa Executive Park.

The development is located at 9800 Britton St., less than a mile from the K-10 and I-435 highways. It’s east of the City of Lenexa’s Ridgeview Road Construction Project, which is expected to open late this year.

“We’re excited to continue to expand in the Kansas City market,” says Bill Seymour, SVP of Meritex. “We’re continuing to see strong demand for industrial space in the area, largely driven by the continued rise in e-commerce.”

Vertical construction will begin in spring 2020, and the project is expected to be complete by December 2020. Merit General Contractors Inc. will serve as the contractor, and Colliers will be the listing broker.

Connect Industrial 2019 is coming to Houston on Nov. 19. For more information, or to register, click here.
