Meridian Team Brings Upscale Watering Hole to Upper East Side

Meridian Retail Leasing, the retail leasing division of Meridian Capital Group, has arranged a long-term lease for a high-end cocktail bar at 1373 First Ave. on the Upper East Side.

James Famularo, president of New York retail leasing for Meridian, and Director Eliot Goldschmidt represented the landlord and the tenant in this transaction.

1373 First is a 1,100-square-foot space between East 73rd and East 74th streets with 28 feet of frontage. The property was previously occupied by The Banshee Pub, which closed in 2018 after more than 10 years.

An upscale watering hole will take the Banshee’s place this summer, joining other popular neighborhood tenants including Bareburger, Campagnola, Numero 28, Starbucks, Pony Bar, Finnegan’s Wake, and Jones Wood Foundry. 1373 also benefits from its high-traffic location in a dense residential neighborhood and its proximity to the Q subway line at the 72nd Street subway station.
