Meridian Design Build Finalizes BTS for Manufacturer

Meridian Design Build recently completed construction on a 100,560 SF build-to-suit on a 6.79- acre site within Abbott Land & Investment’s Blue Heron Business Park in Bartlett, IL. The new building is the Americas headquarters for Cathay Industries, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of iron oxide pigments, and serves as a major distribution hub for the Midwestern region.

The building is the fourth to be constructed within Blue Heron Business Park. Additional development sites, including several sites zoned to accommodate outside storage, are available for sale or lease.

Meridian completed the project on a design/build basis with Harris Architects providing architectural and structural design services and Mackie Consultants handling the civil engineering design.

“We very much enjoyed working with Cathay Industries, Abbott Land & Investment, and the Village of Bartlett on this project,” said Meridian Design Build EVP Howard Green.
