Mercado del Barrio Welcomes Trio of Tenants

Aliso Viejo, CA-based Shea Properties signed leases with three new tenants at Mercado del Barrio, the mixed-use center located in the heart of San Diego’s up-and-coming Barrio Logan district. Located under the Coronado Bay Bridge and adjacent to the historic Chicano Park, the project is anchored by Northgate Market, and includes an additional 47,000 square feet of retail space with 92 apartment units above.

The additions include:
– Attitude Brewing Company, a 22-tap tasting room showcasing a variety of craft beers, as well as gourmet wraps and burgers.
– Maggie’s Café plans to open a second San Diego location.
– Dough Nation specializes in authentic Italian food and craft beer.

Shea Properties’ Lillian Kuo says, “Mercado del Barrio has become quite the mecca for amazing cuisine and craft beer. We have added so many great tenants to the mix, and we really believe the Mercado is becoming a true destination location for the area.”
