Mastro’s Steakhouse Breaks Ground on First Texas Location

Mastro’s Steakhouse began construction on a 10,000 square-foot location in the Galleria submarket of Houston. The restaurant, at 1540 W. Loop S., filed a $5 million construction permit and indicated it would open in fall. This will be  Mastro’s first restaurant in Texas. Mastro’s other locations include Beverly Hills, Chicago, Las Vegas, Malibu, Newport Beach, Manhattan and Scottsdale.

The steakhouse is going north at the Post Oak, a 10-acre mixed-use project underway by Tilman Fertitta, who is also CEO and owner of Landry’s Inc., another steakhouse. Construction on the Post Oak began in 2015, and will include hotel, office, residential, retail and restaurant components.
