Mary Kay Sells 420K-SF Manufacturing Plant

Cosmetics company Mary Kay sold a 420,000-square-foot plant, that had been its global manufacturing operations for 40 years. The Dallas-based Mary Kay sold the property at 1330 Regal Row to Humanetics. Humanetics, headquartered in Carrollton, TX, produces precision sheet metal. The new owner will relocate to the Dallas plant by 2020.

The sales price was undisclosed; the asset is valued at close to $60 million.

Meanwhile, Mary Kay broke ground in 2016 on a new, $125-million, 470,000-square-foot facility in Lewisville. The new facility provides extra space for growth and production operations. The new facility will also allow the company to be a competitive employer, a company representative told the Dallas Morning News.
