Markel Extends for 28K at 1185 Sixth Ave.

Markel Services, Inc., a global holding company for insurance, reinsurance and investment operations, extended its lease for 27,505-square-feet of space at 1185 Avenue of the Americas.

“We’ve enjoyed a long relationship with Markel Services. Prior to its occupancy at 1185 Avenue of the Americas Markel was a tenant at 1350 Avenue of the Americas which is another SL Green-owned building,” said Steven Durels, director of leasing and real property for property owner SL Green, which represented itself in the transaction. William Golden of Cushman & Wakefield represented Markel Services.

There are current more than 150,000 square feet of availabilities listed at the tower.
