Lifescapes to Design $1B Bayside Landscaping

Lifescapes International, headquartered in Newport Beach, CA, has been selected to design the overall landscaping environment for the $1 billion, 262-acre Bayside in Rowlett, TX. The Bayside master-planned development, under the direction of Kent Donahue and Wilks Development, will have retail, restaurants, residential units and a resort hotel, as well as the first Crystal Lagoon in Texas. Another feature will be a 300-foot-long fountain with video projections on mist screens.

Lifescapes will design the fountain, as well as the landscaping for the 116-acre peninsula. The peninsula will include 25 acres of parks, rooftop gardens and beach zones, and the perimeter of the 8-acre Crystal Lagoon. The perimeter will include private beach clubs, cabanas, poolside areas and terraced gardens. Other features will be swim-up bars and floating fire pits in the lagoon.

Also under Lifescapes’ direction will be Bayside’s Town Center Park, a gathering for concerts and family events.
