Leasing Veteran Cabrera Moves to CBRE

Veteran leasing broker Joseph Cabrera has moved over to CBRE as vice chairman, along with his team of David Glassman, Michael Gordon, Timothy Kuhn and Brendan Cavender. Cabrera, who has completed more than 4,000 transactions in his career, was most recently vice chairman, Eastern region at Colliers International.

Prior to joining Colliers in 2014, Cabrera spent 14 years at Cushman & Wakefield. Joining CBRE in a way represents a homecoming for Cabrera: he was with Insignia/ESG, later acquired by CBRE, before joining Cushman.

Among other accolades, Cabrera is a recipient of the Real Estate Board of New York’s Robert T. Lawrence Memorial Award for arranging Thomson Reuters’ 855,000-square-foot consolidation at 3 Times Square.

Matthew Van Buren, president of CBRE’s Northeast division, describes Cabrera as “one of the real estate industry’s most active and innovative dealmakers.”

Van Buren added that Cabrera’s “exceptional reputation and client-first work ethic have led to his outstanding record of success.”
