Leander Gives OK to Townhome Development

The Leander City Council recently gave initial approval to a concept plan, preliminary plat and planned unit development (PUD) for a 20.7-acre plot of land at Woodview Drive and Raider Way. Enclave at Stewart Crossing, which is being developed by Todd Madden, will include townhomes (both detached and attached residences), as well as courtyard parks.

Madden said the gated community would offer continuous parkland, as well as clusters of trees and open spaces to encourage community engagement. He indicated that the development’s goals included providing a transition between existing multifamily apartments to a nearby single-family neighborhood, while preserving the land’s natural features and promoting walkability.

Though the council gave its approval, rezoning will come back before the council for a final vote at a future date. Leander is a suburb north of Austin.
