Largest Mixed-Use Project on Santa Ana’s Horizon
An 18.8-acre parcel of land was recently rezoned from light industrial to residential by the city of Santa Ana, allowing a nearly 1.5-million-square-foot development to move forward. Heritage Village would be the city’s largest mixed-use complex, proposed to include 1,221 apartments, and more than 18,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.
Heritage Village’s developer, Dyer 18 LLC, plans to include a 1.26-acre public park, outdoor theater, and walking trails.
The five-story development, at 2001 E. Dyer Rd., will replace most of an existing 366,000-square-foot industrial structure that’s been largely vacant for 14 years. The city says the area is primed for a “new era” that will help it meet increasing residential demand.
