Kraft Heinz Warms Up to Space at DFW Urban Logistics Facility

Connect Industrial is heading to Chicago, June 28th. Here’s where to get more details and register.

The Kraft Heinz Company signed a 260,959-square-foot lease at Westmount Realty Capital’s Logistics Pointe in Garland, TX, a suburb 15 miles northeast of Dallas. The facility, located at 2600 McCree Rd., will be used for fulfillment and logistics, and includes 90,000 square feet of cold storage space.

Westmount’s Clifford Booth says, the move “confirms the growing need for large-scale cold storage capabilities in North Texas.” He notes, converting urban logistics facilities to meet current cold storage requirements is complex.

Logistics Pointe Garland, originally built as a large-scale grocery distribution center, includes three buildings totaling 1.1 million square feet. The property currently has 298,119 square feet of  freezer/cooler space, 608,435 square feet of dry warehouse space and 192,139 square feet of free-standing warehouse.

CBRE’s David Sours represented the tenant, while CBRE’s Kevin Kelly advised the owner.
