Rubenstein Partners’ 25 Kent is a mixed-use office and light manufacturing building in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood

Kith to Anchor 25 Kent; Joins Apparel Firms Moving to Brooklyn

A newly-opened speculative office and industrial property on the Williamsburg waterfront that was once touted as a location for Amazon’s second headquarters has signed its first tenant. Fashion brand Kith will move its New York City-based operations—including production, design, front office and other supporting functions—from Soho to a 57,679-square-foot space in 25 Kent, developed by Rubenstein Partners and Heritage Equity Partners.

“25 Kent was designed as a new kind of workplace: a commercial ecosystem that reflects the dynamic nature of how companies work today,” said Jeff Fronek, director of investments at Rubenstein. It’s also the first property of its kind to be built in North Williamsburg in more than 40 years.

Kith, which will anchor the 500,000-square-foot 25 Kent, joins an increasing number of apparel manufacturers departing Manhattan for Brooklyn. The tenant was represented by Compass’ Michael Yadgard. Lee & Associates NYC and JLL advised ownership.
