Kellogg to Close Major Texas Distribution Centers

Two Texas distribution centers are collateral in Kellogg’s complete switch to a warehouse business model. The operations change replaces a direct store delivery approach that had been used for some products.

Affected Lone Star State centers are situated in Fort Worth, along Diplomacy Road, and in Houston, at 3010 Claymoore Park Dr. The shuttering of the Fort Worth center will result in the loss of roughly 200 positions by mid-August. Meanwhile, the Houston closure will translate to 220 layoffs.

The company also plans to cut 230 jobs at a distribution center in Charlotte, N.C.
