Keith Haring’s Banner to Hang at Hudson Yards

Keith Haring’s monumental “CityKids Speak on Liberty” banner will be hung on the east-facing façade of 15 Hudson Yards from Nov. 2 through Nov. 5, 2017. After that, the banner will be sold privately by Phillips, to support the ongoing mission of The CityKids Foundation.

“I cannot think of a better way to support our local community than partnering with Phillips and The CityKids Foundation to display this incredible work of art by Keith Haring,” said Jeff Blau, CEO of Related Companies, the developer of Hudson Yards.

New Yorkers will be able to easily view the banner from the High Line. Haring created the 90’ by 30’ banner in 1986. One thousand young people from all over New York City collaborated with Haring by including their thoughts on liberty within the artist’s intricate black, pop-like outline of the Statue of Liberty.
