KBS Signs 385K SF at Denver’s Granite Tower

Newport Beach, CA-based KBS executed 384,716 square feet of leasing activity at Denver’s Granite Tower during Q4 2018. Among the deals at the 31-story, Class A, CBD office tower is a 12-year extension encompassing 295,743 square feet with Anadarko Petroleum Corp., the largest lease signed in Denver in 2018.

Other new tenants signing deals at the 591,070-square-foot LEED Gold-certified property include Inflection Energy LLC, MountainView Financial and Causey Demgen & Moore P.C. Existing tenants, Bankers’ Bank of the West and Personal Capital, renewed and expanded leases.

Granite Tower is one of nine remaining properties in the KBS REIT II portfolio. A building renovation is planned this year that will lighten and open up the main lobby and ground floor common area, add a food and beverage operation and outdoor gathering space, as well as converting the third floor into a new amenity floor.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Jim Bailey represented Anadarko Petroleum Corp., while NKF’s Nathan Johnson and Pete Staab advised KBS.
