JLL Brings Retail Quartet to Columbia-Owned Resi Building

JLL has signed four retail tenants on behalf of Columbia University at the base of 2901-2913 Broadway, a university-owned residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Blue Bottle Coffee signed for 1,711 square feet, Hex & Company committed to 4,322 square feet, Loco Coco leased 487 square feet and Dos Toros signed for 669 square feet.

A JLL team of Amy Zhen, Davie Berke and Patrick A. Smith negotiated the transactions, together with Columbia’s real estate team of Shari Colburn, Anne Lubell and Aaron Weaver.

The retailers were represented by NKF’s Marc Frankel (Blue Bottle), SRS Real Estate’s Mark Tedeschi and Adam Langer (Dos Toros) and Winick Realty Group’s Daniyel Cohen (Loco Coco). JLL represented both Columbia and the tenant in the transaction with Hex & Company.

“These retailers will be popular destinations for everyone connected to the university, as well as for local residents,” said Berke.
