Jeff Simpson Leaves Greystone for New Venture

Jeff Simpson is stepping down as the CEO of Greystone to establish Arch Companies a new, separate real estate investment and development company. Jared Chassen, Greystone Development’s director of acquisitions will join him. But the two will remain friendly with their old company. Arch Companies plans to collaborate on project in Greystone’s pipeline — and on new real estate construction and investment opportunities.

Thomas Ryan, a 17-year veteran of the group, will succeed Jeff Simpson as CEO, effective January 1, 2018. Ryan joined Greystone in 1999, and most recently served as the head of Greystone’s development & construction operations management team, leading the firm to success on developments like Harlem 125 (pictured).

“I am thrilled at the prospect of partnering with Jeff on select future projects, and wish him success with his new company,” said Ryan.
