James Malone Leaving Brookfield for Colliers

Connect Los Angeles is coming up on March 27th at the Hotel Indigo in DTLA. Here is where to get more information and REGISTER.

Colliers International is expanding its team in Los Angeles with the addition of James Malone, a leasing leader who will be joining from an in-house position at Brookfield Properties. As VP of leasing there, he was responsible for marketing and leasing seven office buildings in DTLA.

While the companies declined to comment publicly, a post on Malone’s LinkedIn page confirmed the move: “While not official for another 10 days or so, I am excited to join a great organization like Colliers International and grateful for the opportunity to have worked at a 1st class organization like Brookfield and I value the relationships built there.”

Malone, a former UCLA football player, joined Brookfield in 2013 and handled landlord negotiations at such properties as 725 S. Figueroa St., 777 Tower, Bank of America Plaza and Wells Fargo Tower. Earlier in his CRE career, Malone spent 10 years at JLL and also served at Catellus Development Corporation.
