Jackson Walker Renews, Expands at 5 Houston
Jackson Walker has decided to stay put at 5 Houston Center in downtown Houston. To that end, the law firm renewed its 74,094 square-foot lease at 1401 McKinney St., and added an additional 2,021 square feet to the mix, leading to a grand total of 77,015 square feet.
Transwestern’s Eric Anderson and Tyler Garrett represented Spear Street Capital, which is the landlord of the 580,000-square-foot office tower. Tim Relyea of Cushman & Wakefield represented Jackson Walker.
5 Houston, developed by Crescent Real Estate, delivered in 2002. Spear Street Capital acquired 5 Houston Center from Columbia Property Trust in January 2017, as part of a $272-million, three-building transaction.
