J.P. Morgan Chase to Lay Off More than 100
Weeks after USAA announced it would eliminate 265 jobs, J.P. Morgan Chase announced it would lay off 107 employees from its San Antonio Corporate Center. The company plans to move the support function to offices in other cities, and is terminating the employees, who work at 20855 Stone Oak Pkwy., on Dec. 1, 2018. Approximately 2,000 work at the Stone Oak office.
According to the company, the move represents a cost-saving consolidation. In early September, the bank announced it was reducing its Houston branch support workforce by 102 positions. In addition, approximately 400 employees in J.P. Morgan Chase’s consumer home-lending businesses in Arizona, Florida and Ohio were also laid off.
