Irvine Co.’s Spectrum Drive to Be Mazda’s New HQ

For nearly 30 years, Mazda has held its headquarters in Irvine. The automaker has plans to move its headquarters one mile down the road to 200 Spectrum Drive in early 2017. Owned by the Irvine Co., the building is Orange County’s tallest standing at 21 stories high.

Mazda has signed a 10-year contract for 102,000 square feet across five floors, as well as retaining naming rights to the building.

President and Chief Executive of Mazda’s North American division, Masahiro Moto, said, “It is one thing to build outstanding vehicles, but the people who work for Mazda must also feel that their workspace is as good as the cars we build.”
