Irvine Co. Promotes Resorts Division Leader

Newport Beach, CA-based Irvine Company promoted Chad Bustos to a new role within its Coastal Collection of Independent Hotels and Resorts division. Bustos was appointed senior vice president of sales and marketing, after serving as vice president of marketing since 2011.

The Irvine Co.’s growing resorts portfolio in California includes three premier Orange County hotel and resort properties, The Resort at Pelican Hill, a 332-room luxury resort in Newport Coast, The Island Hotel Newport Beach, a 295-room luxury hotel, Hotel Irvine, a 536-room property, as well as Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine, and roughly 500 boat slips at five California marinas.

Bustos, who joined the company in 2006, will report to Ralph Grippo, president of the Irvine Co.’s resort properties. Previously, Bustos spent six years at KSL Resorts.
