Interra Brokers Two South Shore MF Deals

Interra Realty has brokered the sales of two apartment buildings in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood, priced at $4.23 million and $2.25 million, respectively. The buyers and seller of both properties were represented by the Interra team of David Goss, Jon Morgan, Ted Stratman, Lucas Fryman and Jeremy Morton.

“Investors are drawn to South Shore because of its proximity to a number of cultural institutions and recreational amenities along the lakefront, as well as the neighborhood’s large stock of quality apartment buildings,” said Goss.

The 50-unit 6901 S. Paxton Ave. (pictured) was 94% leased at the time of its $4.23-million sale. It fetched the second-highest price for a multifamily property in South Shore this year: $84,000 per unit.

Previously intended for redevelopment into condominiums, the 29-unit 7250 S. Yates Blvd. was gut-rehabbed just over a decade ago. It was 93% leased at the time of closing on its $2.3-milion sale.
