Inland’s Goodwin Honored as Corporate Citizen of the Year

Daniel L. Goodwin, chairman and CEO of The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, has been named the Executives Club of Chicago’s 2018 Corporate Citizen of the Year. Goodwin was announced as the winner and presented with the award on June 12 at The Executives’ Club program held at The Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park.

Established in 2013, the Corporate Citizen of the Year Award is presented annually to a company or individual for outstanding contributions to the Chicagoland area. Nominations were judged by representatives of The Executives’ Club’s Civic Affairs Forum.

Goodwin was recognized for his 50 years of commitment to philanthropic initiatives focused on affordable housing, good government, education and environmental conservation as well as ethical business practices and progressive employee development programs. As a case in point, Inland has won the Better Business Bureau Annual Ethics Award three times in the past eight years out of 1,700 nominees.
