Industrious Inks Deal for Space at The Monroe
Co-working space provider Industrious of New York signed a lease to take 30,000 square feet at The Monroe in downtown Phoenix. The occupier will set up shop on the 14th and 15th floors at 111 W. Monroe St., with opening anticipated for Q3 2020.
Industrious opened an office in Scottsdale and according to company president Justin Stewart, demand for a downtown location prompted the deal with landlord ViaWest Group. “Industrious has witnessed strong traction across Greater Phoenix, and is excited to be expanding into the city proper,” he said.
ViaWest acquired The Monroe for $29.8 million in spring, 2017, and is planning a lobby revamp to meet the tenants needs. The 18-story, 255,477-square-foot building was completed in 1964. Amenities include 15,000-square-foot floor plates, a conference center, exercise facilities, bike spa and underground valet garage.
