Indian Restaurant for Restaurant Row

Badshah, a new Indian restaurant, is coming to Ninth Avenue’s Restaurant Row in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood.
“This was a unique situation because we leased the space before it was vacant,” said James Famularo, senior director and principal for Eastern Consolidated, which represented both the tenant and the owner of 788 Ninth Ave. “When we heard it might be coming available, we jumped into action.”
The restaurant will be created by Chef Lala Sharma, his sons Abishek and Abim, and co-owner Sandeep Singh. Together, they currently operate three Indian restaurants, including Michelin-starred Surya at 154 Bleecker St.
Chef Sharma and his partners plan to build out the 1,400-square-foot space quickly, and open this Spring.
