In Their Words: What the Goldie Initiative Means for Women in Chicago CRE (VIDEO)

“The Goldie Initiative is actually focused on leadership and giving young women more than just scholarships. And that’s what we do.”

That’s Goldie Wolfe Miller, Chicago real estate icon and founder of the Goldie Initiative, which seeks to support the creation and empowerment of female leaders in commercial real estate. It does this in part by providing scholarship assistance to women pursuing graduate degrees with a focus in real estate.

However, as the organization’s namesake and others make clear in the video below, its reach extends beyond financial assistance. Connect Media interviewed leaders of and participants in the Goldie Initiative at this year’s Goldie Gala, which raised $550,000.

Along with Wolfe Miller, you’ll hear from Associated Bank’s Elizabeth Hozian and Conor Commercial’s Vicki Mutchler, co-chairs of the Goldie Gala; Laura Giampietro, owner of strata-g marketing and president-elect of the Goldie Initiative; and 2019-2020 Goldie Scholars Rebecca Palmer and Rebecca Thompson.
