Ikea Expands North Texas Footprint

Retailer Ikea plans to settle into more than 10,000 square feet of office space at 1400 Hillcrest Dr. in Arlington, TX. The short-term lease was inked through negotiations led by SVN/Dunn Commercial’s Lee Wandel and Segovia Retail Group’s Jennifer Frank.

The move comes as the furniture giant plans its second and third North Texas locations. A Grand Prairie store is expected to open in fall 2017, while a location at Fort Worth’s Alliance area is projected to open in summer 2019.

Ikea opened its first Dallas-Fort Worth location in Frisco, in 2005.
