The Renaissance Vinoy St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club, a 362-room, waterfront resort in downtown St. Petersburg, FL traded hands in a deal valued at $188.5 million, including the release of $3.5 million in member deposits. RLJ Lodging Trust sold the property to SCG Hospitality LLC, an entity led by Tampa Bay Buccaneers co-owner Bryan Glazer.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the iconic pink Mediterranean Revival hotel was originally constructed in 1925, and has been transformed several times. It was reborn in 1992 as a hotel, and has undergone a subsequent $50-million renovation and expansion.
The property features more than 32,000 square feet of indoor meeting and event space; a 74-slip marina; 12 tennis courts; an 18-hole golf course on Snell Island; the Vinoy Clubhouse and pro shop; and two resort-style pools.
HFF’s Daniel C. Peek, Preston Reid, Max Comess, Roland Merchant, Alexandra Lalos and Wyatt Krapf represented the seller.
