Hutto and Developer Launch Construction on 500K-SF MXU

The city of Hutto, TX has begun work on its Gin at Co-Op District, a mixed-use complex with a gross leasable area of 500,000 square feet, which is planned to hold a movie theater, community event center, retail, apartments and restaurants. The 25-acre property is north of SH 79 and west of downtown Hutto. MA Partners of Austin is working with the city on the $100-million development.

The development will also be the new home for Hutto City Hall, consisting of a two-story, 40,000-square-foot building on the far north end of the development. Construction on the City Hall is expected to begin in April 2018, with move-in anticipated by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, early work will include demolition of huge slabs at the southern edge of the property, and relocating the sites iconic cotton silos to other locations in the development.
