Hubbard Street Brings Coffee, Fitness to Wicker Park

If you’re a Wicker Park fitness enthusiast who fuels morning workouts with coffee, then Hubbard Street Group has you covered. The developer and its partner, Centrum Realty and Development, are bringing the first Chicago-area location for San Francisco’s Philz Coffee to their Wicker Park Connection mixed-use project, along with the second Chicago outpost for Washington, D.C.-based Solidcore, a Pilates-based fitness studio.

“With these latest commercial tenants, we’ve curated a true mix of lifestyle, health and wellness offerings that, we hope, will resonate with our residents and the broader Wicker Park community,” said John McLinden, Hubbard Street managing partner. “We sought to partner with brands that would add to the buzz surrounding Wicker Park Connection, as evidenced by the brisk pace of leasing.”

Philz plans to open its 2,100-square-foot Chicago flagship next summer. Solidcore is also slated to open at Wicker Park Connection in 2019 with a 2,350-square-foot studio.
